Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Whittler collects, why, and what we do with it. We try to keep it in plain language and to collect as little as the product needs to work.

What we collect

  • Account email. We sign you in with a magic link, so we store the email address you sign in with. We do not store a password.
  • Résumé content. The master résumé you upload and the tailored versions we generate. This typically includes your name, contact details, work history, and skills, the information you choose to put on a résumé.
  • Job descriptions. The job text you paste in so we can tailor a résumé to it.
  • Basic technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, request time, user agent) kept for security and troubleshooting.

How we use it

We use your résumé content and the job description solely to produce the tailored résumé you asked for, and to keep your saved résumés available in your workspace. We use your email to sign you in and to send service messages about your account.

Processing and third parties

  • Supabase hosts our database and handles sign-in authentication.
  • DeepSeek provides the language model that tailors your résumé. The relevant résumé and job-description text is sent to their API to generate the result.
  • Cloudflare serves and protects the site. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics for cookieless, aggregate measurement of page visits and performance. We do not run its beacon inside signed-in workspace or administrative pages, and Cloudflare Web Analytics does not log query strings. We do not use or sell this analytics data for advertising.
  • Google Ads provides optional advertising measurement. When you accept this purpose, we share a Google click identifier and sign-up or completed-tailoring events with Google to measure ads. We do not use this permission for personalized advertising. See our Cookie Policy for details.

We do not sell your data.

Retention

Your saved résumés and account data remain until you delete them or ask us to delete your account. Contact us and we will remove your data.

Your choices

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data. To do so, email [email protected].
