What we use

• Essential / authentication. When you sign in, we set a session cookie so the workspace knows you are logged in. Without it, sign-in does not work. These are first-party and strictly necessary.
• Advertising (optional, consent-based). If you reach Whittler through one of our ads, we ask whether we may share the Google click identifier and sign-up or completed-tailoring events with Google Ads to measure our advertising. We only do this after you choose “Accept” on our cookie banner. Google Ads cookies are not set until then, and we do not use this permission to personalize advertising.

Analytics (no cookie)

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics for cookieless, aggregate measurement of page visits and performance. It does not use tracking cookies. We do not run its beacon inside signed-in workspace or administrative pages, and Cloudflare Web Analytics does not log query strings. We do not use or sell this analytics data for advertising.

Our own product analytics is first-party and also sets no cookie. As you use the site we record which pages you view and which calls-to-action you click, together with basic details of your visit — a random session identifier, your device type, browser and operating system, and approximate location (country and region, derived at our edge) — so we can understand and improve the experience. We do not store your raw IP address; for abuse prevention we keep only a one-way hashed form of it that cannot be reversed back to your address. This data is first-party, is not sold, and is not shared with advertisers.
